- KASA IN WORLD’S CONSERVACIONIST SCENERY:
KASA’s president, Elias Sadalla Filho was invited by Robert Lacy, the president of Conservation Breeding Specialist Group (CBSG), to become a member of the Regional Network CBSG Brazil.
The Conservation Breeding Specialist Group is part of IUCN (The International Union for the Conservation of Nature). Composed by more than 900 volunteers from 92 countries, CBSG is one the biggest of the 120 Specialist Groups of the Species Survival Commission (SSC), one of the six commissions of IUCN.
CBSG Brazil is the first Regional Network of CBSG in South America and was created in June 2004. The president is the reputed researcher Patricia Medici from IPÊ.
- KASA IN BRAZIL’S CONSERVACIONIST SCENERY :
The Brazilian Ministry of the Environment and Fundação Biodiversitas invite federal, state and municipal governmental institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations, social movements and indigenous communities, the academic, scientific and private sectors to join efforts to build and implement the Brazilian Alliance for Zero Extinction - BAZE. KASA is participating in this initiative.
OBJECTIVE
The Brazilian Alliance for Zero Extinction - BAZE - intends to join technical, scientific, financial and political skills from Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations, both national and international, to conserve and recover the species listed in the Official List of the Endangered Brazilian Fauna and Flora Species. Aligned with the Brazilian Constitution and the Convention on Biological Diversity, among other legal documents, the Alliance is an attempt to conserve the Brazilian Biodiversity to our present and future generations, reaching for the 2010 goals to significantly reduce the current rate of biodiversity loss.

Dr. Carlos R.Ruiz-Miranda, as chairman of Central and South American Reintroduction Specialist Group, from IUCN, invited KASA's president Elias Sadalla Filho to join it.
