Primavera hydreletric refinary, along Paraná river
between Mato Grosso do Sul and São Paulo States, closed
its flood-gates in 1998, affecting 220.000 hectares of low
and flat land alongside the watercourse, inhabited by a
large variety of species, particularly the marsh deer. the
project objectived the impact studies under the animal
populations, besides implanting a captive population in
order to promote their reintroduction.
